2025 Enduring Heroes Memorial Restoration

The recent much-needed restoration of the Pasadena Enduring Heroes Memorial went very well with the aid of sculptor Christopher Slatoff by recruiting, long-time friends of his who are genuine experts in the field.   Christopher related: We have worked on so many public sculptures in our time but I have to say that the constant appreciation, curiosity, and positive interactions from the flow of observers was uplifting! It truly made us live in the moment and realize the gravity of the sculpture not only to the community but to you the families of our heroes. Understanding the backgrounds of each plaque representing the fallen, as well as the emotional journey it took for everyone to make this happen, made this experience one to remember. It was such a joy to be a small part of something with such cherished significance and to spend time with all of you. As for the restoration, I am so moved by it because it reflects the ongoing respect we have for the Pasadena 11 who served in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. The polishing and ongoing maintenance of the Enduring Heroes Memorial communicates that although the wars may be behind us, we as a community continue to remember, we continue to care, and we will forever honor the service of our Enduring Heroes.”

During our challenging COVID times, a Pasadena area resident  placed a mask on our Soldier to demonstrate the spirit of our Enduring Heroes to protect our Community and Nation at all times.
